Objective: Create handful of vector illustrations for plastic card printers offered by BadgePass.

Approach: The process for these graphics were fairly straight forward, I took either already existing photos of these printers from our manufacturers or took my own photos of the printers if I couldn’t find a photo that I needed to trace from the web – example being the hopper door open on the Connect printer. Photos were opened in Adobe Illustrator on a layer and locked. I then made a second layer on top of the locked layer and used a combination of the pen tool, shape builder tool, opacity adjustments, duplicating and reflecting shapes and adjusting anchor points to achieve intended results.

Results: Duplicate of printers created as vector graphics and used for a multitude of things – PowerPoints, web pages, flyers, motion graphic videos, etc.
