ICONOGRAPHY
Discovery & creation of icons
Objective: Various icons to be created for use across a multitude of design projects, but the vast majority were created for software applications.
Approach: I typically start an icon in either a 64×64 pixel size or 48×48, I feel that’s a good middle ground to start. From there you can downsize to 32×32, 24×24 and 16×16, or go up to 128×128 or 256×256. I’ll always do a discovery/research phase, just to not waste anytime and see what’s been done before and go from there.
Results: Icons finalized and created via pixel-perfect technique and used in their intended design layout, or emailed to the software team for use in an application.
